Dr. Friedlis is one of the founders, and the current Medical Director, of Stem Cell Arts. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Friedlis was an early adopter of Regenerative medicine treatments for orthopedic use. He was the first physician, on the East Coast of the United States, to perform these procedures, and an early Regenexx affiliate, introducing the protocol into his into his practice in 2012.
An advocate for global stewardship, Dr. Friedlis helped coordinate yearly medical trips to Central Mexico, which were sponsored by the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine, and provided much needed support to poor, rural communities. Dr. Friedlis also served as program director to develop a medical outreach program that brought pain management services to Lima, Peru. Dr. Friedlis is an internationally recognized expert in pain and is a frequent speaker at conferences on Regenerative Therapies. He is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and the National Board of Medical Examiners, as well as the past president and education committee chairman for the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine.
Dr. Friedlis has been voted Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine, and the Northern Virginia Magazine, for several years running.
Always interested in a challenge, Dr. Friedlis has trekked the Indian Himalayan Mountains, to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, to base camp of Mt. Everest and the Andean mountains of Peru.
