No stranger to our islands, Dr. Christopher J. Williams first joined the Regenexx Cayman team as a visiting specialist. Now, we’re excited to announce that his primary location will be Grand Cayman, enhancing our ability to provide world-class regenerative medicine throughout the year.
Dr. Chris Williams is a leader in the field of interventional orthobiologics, focusing on the innovative Regenexx treatments. This approach uses the body’s natural healing abilities to help decrease inflammation and repair damaged tissues using blood platelets (PRP) and/or Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) from bone marrow concentrate or adipose tissue and acellular therapy such as alpha-2-macroglobulin (A2M), providing several alternatives to traditional orthopedic surgery. In addition, Dr. Williams has extensive experience in treating patients with the advanced culture-expanded stem cell treatment Regenexx-C, which is offered exclusively at our clinic and can be used to treat more severe conditions and/or multiple joints. Dr. Williams also actively contributes to medical research; his work has been published and cited in various prestigious scientific journals advancing the field and providing valuable insights into the effectiveness of Regenexx treatments.
Dr. Williams is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. After finishing his undergraduate studies Summa cum laude, he completed his medical school and residency at Emory University School of Medicine, where he was recognized three years consecutively as the resident of the year and served as the chief resident as well. While training at Emory, he had significant exposure to regenerative medicine through the sports medicine department and his long-term mentor, Dr. John Pitts, one of the leaders in regenerative medicine and another graduate from Emory University.
After residency, Dr. Williams went on to complete a rigorous fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Chris Centeno and Dr. John Schultz at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, underlining his expertise and commitment to providing only the best care in interventional orthopedics. After fellowship, he has served as the founder and Medical Director of Interventional Orthopedics of Atlanta; his life’s work has been dedicated to assisting patients in achieving their functional goals and improving their quality of life.
Dr. Williams is highly regarded for his holistic approach, seeking to build a partnership with each patient. He emphasizes personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
