Background and Experience

Dr. Blecher has been practicing at Southern California Orthopedic Institute (UCLA Health) for over 15 years. He is the medical director for SCOI’s Center for Rehabilitation Medicine and SCORE Concussion Program. Raised in the suburbs of New York City, Dr. Blecher was an NCAA All-American in Track & Field, and graduated university with Cum Laude honors. Following his medical residency, Dr. Blecher was accepted for a fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, where he began working with high-level athletes.

Dr. Blecher has served as a medical consultant and provided event coverage, for the NFL, NBA, NCAA, USTA, X-Games, ESPN, and Ironman competitions. Dr. Blecher was the first certified Regenexx provider in Los Angeles and has lectured nationally and internationally on the use of Stem Cells and PRP in athletes. He currently holds instructor and clinical faculty positions, teaching students at UCLA, CSUN, and USC.

Accomplishments

Dr. Blecher has been named one of Los Angeles’ top doctors, by Los Angeles Magazine. He was also awarded the RMSK Pioneer Certificate for ARDMS Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification.

Personal Interests

In his free time, Dr. Blecher likes to be active with his family. He enjoys traveling, hiking, tennis, racquetball, soccer, skiing, whitewater kayaking, and scuba diving.
