Background and Experience

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Newton is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine, interventional orthopedic physician. He has extensive experience evaluating and treating orthopedic sports injuries and musculoskeletal complaints of the spine and extremities. He utilizes regenerative therapies to help patients of all ages get back to an active lifestyle.

Dr. Newton enjoys giving back through teaching opportunities, nationally and internationally, through the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine, the Interventional Orthopedics Foundation, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He is also a diplomat of the American Academy of Family Practice.

Accomplishments

Dr. Newton has provided medical consultation and treatment for professional baseball teams, and other elite level athletes. He is also a six-time ironman.

Personal Interests

Dr. Newton loves to challenge himself with endurance races, competing in five to six triathlon races, of varying distances, every year. Dr. Newton is fluent in Spanish, and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
