Background and Experience

Dr. Fenton is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Sonography, and Orthopedic Medicine. He is the founder and medical director of Vermont Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Fenton is an adjunct clinical assistant professor at NY College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has taught and presented on orthopedic medicine, as well as diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, for several organization across the U.S. and Mexico, including the Regenexx Network. He is also the course director, board member, and secretary treasurer for the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine.

Biomechanics of sports performance and injuries, the use of dynamic ultrasound to evaluate for joint stability, and the role of hormonal imbalances in the development of musculoskeletal disorders are just a few of Dr. Fenton’s special research interests.

Accomplishments

Dr. Fenton received the Founder’s Day Award from New York University and was the recipient of a full-merit scholarship for the predoctoral fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Not only has Dr. Fenton authored numerous research papers, but he is also a contributing author for a widely used Osteopathic concepts and techniques textbook.

Personal Interests

Dr. Fenton is an avid bicyclist and alpine skier, as well as a former professional ski instructor, and lives with his family in the Champlain Valley of northwestern Vermont.
